Dimension films used to have the rights but did not manage to produce the remake, and the licence was reverted back to Korean Studio CJ Entertainmnet, before New Line reacquired them.
At this time, it is unknown who will be involved in the remake, but if the result has anything to do with Lee Jeong-beom’s film , action fans are sure to be content.
The 2010 original currently holds the 36th position in the table with the most grossing films in S. Korea.
